In 2017 when Tesla Model 3 was launched I said, I’m going to get the car for myself because it is so beautiful and guess what? I got it.
After few years of using Tesla Model 3, in this article I’ll be writing my long-term review about it, my experience—everything I’ve loved, the challenges I have faced, and what it feels like to live with this car every single day.

My First Impression
I became in love the very first time my Tesla Model 3 was delivered to me. You know what it means to fall in love at first sight? That’s exactly what happened to me.
I became in love with the sleek and futuristic design. It really blow my mind that I felt like I was watching the car in a sci-fi movie.
I remember the first time I drove the car in my area, back then Tesla was not really popular there, people on the street turned to watch my beautiful car, I couldn’t help but smile. It made me feel proud, like I was driving something special.
But as much as I loved the design of my Tesla Model 3 on delivery, it had some few flaws like how the panels were lined up and the paintwork. They were not perfect for me. I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting perfection from a car that is worth a fortune.
I had to contact Tesla service team and thankfully, they took care of those problems quickly, and I was back to enjoying the car.
Driving the Model 3
Every time I drive my Tesla Model 3, I enjoy the ride to the fullest. The way the car accelerates is one of a kind. Have you imagined being in a roller coaster that you control? That’s how I feel in my car.
Even after years of driving it, Do you know that my Model 3 can still go from 0 to 60 mph in just over 4 seconds?
However, the ride can be a bit stiff on bumpy roads. It used to bother me, but now I have learned to live with it. The way my Tesla car hugs corners and feels so planted on the road makes up for it. Driving my Tesla is a pure joy whether I’m on a long road trip or just running an errand.
About My Tesla Model 3 Range
One thing people always ask me is, “How far can Tesla Model 3 go?” Tesla says my Model 3 can do 358 miles on a full charge, but after a careful examination, it goes 300–320 miles.
And yes, weather conditions like cold weather can drain the battery faster, I wasn’t surprised about that. What I alway do on winter mornings is preconditioning. I preheat the car before driving and guess what? it makes a big difference.
Another thing I always do is to charge my Tesla at home. I plug it in at night, and by morning, it’s ready to go. Long trips are also easy thanks to Tesla’s Supercharger network. It might interest you to know that my car even plans the charging stops for me, so that I won’t be stranded during long trips.
The Minimalist and Relaxing Interior
The first time I sat in my Model 3, I was very surprised seeing how everything was simple unlike traditional cars with buttons everywhere.
Tesla has no traditional buttons, just a big touchscreen in the middle for you to control everything. At first, I thought it would be distracting to be touching screen while driving, I quickly got used to it and now it feels natural.
The seats are very comfortable, and the panoramic glass roof which is my favourite part of the interior makes the cabin feel open and airy especially during sunset. It feels so peaceful like being in a quiet in a modern lounge.
For storage, I’ve never had any issues. Between the trunk, the “frunk” (front trunk), and foldable back seats, there’s enough space for groceries, luggage, or anything else I need.
The Technology Feels Like Magic
One of the best thing about the Model 3 is how it keeps improving in software. Tesla always sends OTA updates to my car and it’s like getting a brand-new feature every few months.
Tesla Autopilot is another thing I love so much in my Model 3. I will not say it’s perfect but for me it makes driving on highways more easier. Autopilot keeps me centered in the lane and maintains a safe distance from other cars even though I still need to keep my hands on my steering and be at an alert.
Maintenance is Simple and Stress-Free
The maintenance of my Tesla Model 3 is very easy and cheap compared to other gas car I owned in the past.
No oil changes, no complicated engine parts. All I do is tyre rotations and brake checks. I once had small issues like squeaky window and little wind noise. Tesla’s mobile service came to my house and fixed it for me.
Was The Cost Worth It?
Truth be told, Tesla Model 3 is not cheap. I love the car that is why I had to work hard to acquire it. But for years now I can say I didn’t regret buying it because of how much I have saved if I imagine how much I could have spent on gas and maintenance of traditional cars.
One thing I’ve noticed is that Tesla’s resale values can be unpredictable. If you’re planning to sell your car after a few years, it’s worth keeping an eye on the market. But for me, I don’t think I’ll be parting with mine anytime soon.
This is the end of my Tesla Model 3 long-term ownership review. Do you also own a Tesla Model 3 or other models? Whats your experience with it? Please leave a comment below, let’s discuss.
